WHY ?

50% of Women with Gestational Diabetes develop type 2 Diabetes, Black women have more than 2X higher risk of developing type 2 Diabetes.

Infants from these mothers have greater risk of developing health issues like high blood pressure, kidney disease, and type 2 diabetes if blood sugars are left untreated in pregnancy.

Type 2 Diabetes accounts for 95% of the Diabetes in the U.S.

Non-Hispanic blacks, are at a higher risk for developing Type 2 Diabetes and 2X as likely to die than non-Hispanic Whites.

Meet The Course Creator

Hi there, my name is Sue-Ellen Anderson-Haynes. I've been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for over 15 years and spent many of those years working in hospital settings such as pediatrics, mother-baby unit, adult intensive care units, and outpatient settings like medical and surgical weight loss centers, wellness clinics, and prenatal, pregnancy and postpartum clinics. I have also received extensive training in diabetes and worked for over 6 years at the most renowned diabetes center in the world -Joslin Diabetes Center, in their pregnancy clinic and weight management programs. In addition, I am a Board Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) and is a member of the American Diabetes Association, Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialist, National Academy of Sports Medicine, and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics - worlds largest organization of nutrition and dietetics practitioners.

Before Pregnancy

Whether you are a new mom or mom of recent Gestational Diabetes diagnosis, history of PCOS, Pre-Diabetes, Metabolic Syndrome, or other hormonal diagnosis, in your Before pregnancy stage, receive coaching, resources, and learn expert-backed actionable steps to help guide you through diet and lifestyle changes, specific testing, supplementation, meal planning and more, so you can improve chances of fertility, and reduce your risk of developing gestational diabetes before you become pregnant.

Entering Pregnancy

During your Entering pregnancy stage get access to health coaching, curated resources, and learn to implement evidence-based gold-standard pregnancy guidelines - gestational diabetes prevention focus. In addition, receive expert guided pregnancy diet and lifestyle holistic interventions to help set you and your baby up for a healthy pregnancy, especially during the 1st and 2nd trimesters.

At Diagnosis

During the 3rd trimester, At Diagnosis, receive holistic support and learn to master the art of balancing blood sugars by learning exactly how, when and what foods, supplementation, test and monitor, lifestyle strategies, and holistic therapies to incorporate to help stabilize blood sugars to keep you and baby healthy and reduce the risk of starting on insulin once diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes.

Through Delivery & Beyond

During the postpartum stage, Through Delivery and Beyond, receive expert guided coaching and resources to help reduce your chance of getting type 2 diabetes, by incorporating food quality, quantity and timing methods for recovery and healing, postnatal activities for healing and strengthening, lactation support including strategies for increased breast milk production, hormone friendly meals/recipes, natural birth control methods, and more.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What does the program include?

- Access to our course for up to 6 months.

- Expert curated diabetes and pregnancy educational materials, recipes and menus.

- Unlimited access to our coach and registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN), certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES) for 3 months.

- Initial personalized nutrition and health assessment by our coach RDN, CDCES.

- Weekly intake review by our coach RDN, CDCES for 3 months

- Optional Add on: Monthly live group sessions for 3 months

2. Is this program B.E.A.T Gestational Diabetes™ online?

Yes, our program includes an online course. You will have access to the course and program perks for 6 months from the time of purchase.

3. Will I meet with Sue-Ellen individually?

Yes, you will meet with her virtually for your individual initial assessment, whether it is during your pregnancy planning, pregnancy, gestation diabetes diagnosis or postpartum stage.

4. Are group sessions available?

Yes, during the program you will have opportunities to join monthly live group sessions on our HIPPA secure platform.  This perk is available for free with the purchase of the whole B.E.A.T program.  It can be purchased as an add-on to any individual B.E.A.T segment. 

5. Do you provide weekly intake (food, activity, medication, etc.) reviews and recommendations during the program?

Yes, throughout the 3 month program, you will be able to send Sue-Ellen messages and submit your health logs for review.  You will receive feedback and recommendations from Sue-Ellen on our HIPPA secure platform.  Plus, you will still have 6 months to complete the course from the time of purchase!

6. How long is the program?

Each B.E.A.T segment includes a 3 month course, but you will have access to the course content for 6 months from the time of purchase.

7. Does the program include all 4 stages (Before pregnancy, Entering Pregnancy, At diagnosis, Through Delivery & Beyond)?

If you purchase the complete program, it will include all 4 stages.  However, you can purchase individual segments separately.

8. How much does the program cost?

The full B.E.A.T Program experience is available for an investment of $1830 (savings of $150).

Individual segments of the program (Before pregnancy, Entering Pregnancy, At diagnosis, Through Delivery & Beyond) are available for an investment of $450.  Additional add-on of live monthly group sessions is available for $50.

Payment installments are available for the full program purchase ONLY.  Payments can been split into 3 installments of $660 ($1980 total) for the entire program.

9. How do you pay for this program?

All major credit cards, HSA, FSA accepted.  Program may be eligible for insurance reimbursement.
 

10. Is it covered by health insurance?

No, this program is not covered by health insurance.

 

On our packages page:  One hour consultation ($175) and 30 minute follow-up visit ($75) for established clients are covered by insurance; we accept (Always Health Plan, Cigna, Harvard Pilgrim, United Health Care). For more details on what's included in these sessions see our packages page.
